Michelle Rios, President of Blue Tiger Leadership, LLC

I grew up in a small Malaysian town, where life was idyllic and carefree. But when I was five years old, my father passed away. This was a difficult experience for me, but my mother and brother were always there for me. My brother, Winston, was a self-made entrepreneur who managed the largest private education group in Malaysia. He introduced me to the world of social entrepreneurship, and I was inspired by his work.

I have always been fascinated by learning through technology. In college, I studied computer programming, but I eventually decided to pursue a career in law. I felt that a legal education would teach me the critical thinking and problem-solving skills that I would need to be an effective entrepreneur.

After migrating to the UK in 2012, I founded The London Examinations Board (LEB) with my friend, Kevin Johns-Putra, and my former colleague, Prof. Chan Chee Seng. We started as a distance learning provider, and our goal was to create high-quality, affordable online learning programs. In 2016 and with the addition of Reva Krishnan and Frances Chapman, LEB commercially commenced business, and we have since expanded and hired internationally.

My team and I are passionate about education technology. We believe that technology has the potential to revolutionize education and make it more accessible to everyone. We are committed to using technology to improve student lives and to create a more equitable and just education system.

To be an effective EdTech leader, I believe it is important to have the following traits:

• A clear vision for the future of education and technology.

• The ability to think strategically and plan for the long term.

• An open mind and willingness to take risks.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• The ability to build and lead a high-performing team.

I am proud of what we have accomplished at ALZO Edutech Group. We have created a portfolio of successful education technology companies that are making a difference in the lives of students around the world. I am excited to continue our journey and to see what we can achieve in the years to come.

I believe that stakeholder participation is essential for growth. I am committed to working with our stakeholders, including students, teachers, parents, employers, and government officials, to ensure that our companies are meeting the needs of the communities we serve.

I am confident that ALZO Edutech Group has the potential to be a leading player in the global education technology market. We have the right team, the right vision, and the right commitment to make a difference. I am excited to see what the future holds for us.

In 2013, we founded The London Examinations Board (LEB) with a clear vision: to use technology to improve education and create a global enterprise. We started with a proof of concept, and after two years, we launched our online learning programs. Our content was easy to use, affordable, and high-quality. We quickly expanded our team and hired internationally.

And I need to be able to collaborate effectively with others.

I am proud of what we have accomplished at LEB. We have created a successful online learning platform that is used by students around the world. We are committed to continuing to innovate and grow, and we believe that we have the potential to make a real difference in the lives of students.

I am confident that LEB has the potential to be a leading player in the global education technology market. We have the right team, the right vision, and the right commitment to make a difference. I am excited to see what the future holds for us.
