I'm a passionate leader and I am dedicated to assisting my clients and team members, says Natasha. As president of NVS Strategic Solutions, I connect clients with solutions, resources, and contacts to flourish in a changing government landscape. My clients trust my candor and ability to get to the heart of any issue. I learnt to be a better leader by studying executives who professed to be leaders but weren't. Natasha grew from her lack of leadership and worked to become the leader she needed. As a leader, the most important lesson she learnt is to talk less and listen more. Not only to what her team says, but also to what they don't say. Being sensitive in this way has made her a better leader. Recognizing someone's successes can create a happy and dedicated team member, says Natasha.

NVS cultivates integrity, knowledge, and leadership. I believe a business is more than just clients and sales. It's about improving our employees' culture and helping our clients. As a leader, I've received plenty of criticism, which is just as important as appreciation. Instead of being defeated by criticism, I question what it's trying to teach me. Even if I disagree, I know my ego is distracting me from a valuable lesson. So I take it all in and choose what to learn and grow from, adds Natasha.

For the past ten years, I've also helped entrepreneurs with their most difficult business challenges. They only need someone to point them in the correct direction. Most entrepreneurs start with a dream and a skillset but rapidly realize that government contracting is difficult. I provide counseling, training, and solutions to teach entrepreneurs how to be successful and compete in the market.

At NVS, we've been exploring new accounting and ERP systems that are compliant in the government contracting industry. Unanet and Deltek Costpoint are two robust solutions. Both give real-time data and precise rate structures for DCAA auditors. They have contract management and HR modules. We plan to train, certify, and work with these systems to help small companies shift from their existing ERP system to one of these more easily favored platforms. Real-time data accuracy helps organizations make smarter financial decisions. Natasha says that accounting and finance were traditionally reactive, but proactive data and accounting are the future.

Natasha envisions NVS Strategic Solutions as a leader in small company consulting and accounting. Many business owners complain about a lack of knowledge and resources. NVS provides economical service and teaches contractors how to do it themselves. We want to provide them with knowledge without bankrupting them.

Regarding market competition, I run my own race, says Natasha. Observing my competitors distracts me. Sometimes I look at what they're doing to inform my plans, but most of my ideas come from customers. Customers are our best source of intelligence, and I think that's our competitive advantage, adds Natasha. Even with customer complaints, you can identify methods to improve. Keeping her focus on the client and team keeps Natasha active with service, innovation, and growth.

The quantity of auditing, compliance, and laws ingrained in this industry makes it tough to navigate at times. We've had commercially successful clients branch into the military with the same tactics. They quickly discovered that both industries were vastly different, and they were unable to secure a contract despite all their efforts. From technical to cost to submission, we studied the proposal cycle. Providing alternative solutions, such as a new price system based on effort, made them more competitive in the market. We redesigned their accounting system to make it compliant and gave those tools, templates, and structure for their technical and pricing submissions, which helped them, win a contract.

For Natasha, meeting their sales goals and gaining loyal clients have been their major achievements so far. They have recently started working on a blog and membership system to help individuals in need. She is happy that they help small businesses grow by giving them training and advice as they grow.

We're also expanding Business Development, Federal HR, and Program Management. We are helping clients preserve contracts and meet deadlines so they can help their most essential customer, the warfighter, says Natasha. IE
