“Bringing Precision & Quality to the Industry”

Terry Price, Chief Information Officer at ERC/Pathlight, provides vision and leadership for developing and implementing market-leading differentiating information technology initiatives. Since taking up his appointment at ERC, Terry has taken ownership of 3 major enterprise-wide implementations and initiated a comprehensive review and revision of the organization's data management strategy. Terry’s ability to align a fast-paced growth strategy with the personnel attributes and skills necessary to form a team that can handle the near-constant change and ambiguity has proven to be a cultural and operationally transformational win for ERC/Pathlight.

According to Terry, post-COVID, there is no such thing as a network perimeter. “Today, wherever the employee works, is our perimeter. Our weakest link in the security chain was and is now – the employees, their devices and where they are connecting from,” he says. “We feel we have ‘today’ the right balance of operational efficiency and security while remaining vigilant to the evolving threats and defenses those threats require us to mitigate.”

The team is implementing digital strategies to enhance the competitiveness of client’s businesses to keep their leading position in the industry. They constantly review new technologies to see whether it will be an opportunity for ERC/Pathlight to adopt or whether it’s a solution that, despite its cool factor, isn’t right for their organization and its needs.

"ERC specializes in treating patients struggling with eating disorders and related conditions, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating."

ERC specializes in treating patients struggling with eating disorders and related conditions, including anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating. “Our business is a convergence of the treatment for eating disorders, its impact on the families and also the mental health aspects of those conditions on the patient and families,” adds Terry. “It’s a holistic approach to treating the patients’ medical conditions and their mental conditions with a view to achieving life changing long term improvements in the condition of the patient. One of the very few organizations that treat Outpatient, Inpatient, Virtual OP, and Intensive (Acute) settings.”

ERC and Pathlight provide innovative, evidence-based treatment programs tailored for patients of all ages, genders, races, and ethnicities. “ERC/Pathlight takes great pride in our ability to provide care to all patients without limitations of age, gender, color or creed and its programs reflect that primary focus on patient care and positive outcomes. Our staff are focused exclusively on providing the best possible care for its patients.”

Their focus at ERC is executing their initiatives with precision and quality. They keep abreast of developments by their competitors but don’t let it distract from their ultimate goals. “We are confident the holistic care solutions we create are supported by strong clinical thought leadership and operational expertise to maintain our market leader status. ERC is agile enough to respond quickly to market conditions,” says Terry. “And this is my advice to the budding entrepreneurs too! Alongside learning the business, embed yourself in the where the technology is used, be able to think and feel where the challenges are in the organization, and be proactive about partnering with your stakeholders to address their challenges early.”

Like nearly every technology leader, Terry’s vision includes maximizing operational democratization of data and weaponizing that data to benefit their patients, the industry, and the organization's operational performance. In today's work environment, management's ability to employ a higher degree of EQ is critical in reaching and connecting with predominantly remote employees. “Also cultivating this EQ mindset in my direct reports is very important. Frequent check-ins not just to review progress against deliverables, but to genuinely check in with the employee to ask ‘how are they doing?’ is critical in gauging how employees are feeling. I make it a priority to try to reassure employees that their work is valued and their mental health is a key component of that,” says Terry. IE
