The radio host, motivational speaker, author, PPM guru and the Executive Director of the John Maxwell Team-Rick founded R2 Consulting, LLC with a simple purpose: build a consulting company that would innovate and inspire the project management industry to enable the value of project management. Rick used his vast experience in consulting at previous organizations such as GE, Xerox, and CA to build a company that challenges the traditional consulting models. R2 works diligently with its clients to ensure that engagements are completed accurately, efficiently, and with the highest levels of customer satisfaction and self-sufficiency.

Rick's personal analogy is that of the myth of Sisyphus-who was condemned by the gods for eternity to repeatedly roll a boulder up a hill only to have it roll down again once he got it to the top, as a metaphor for the individual's persistent struggle against the essential absurdity of life. “Every day, distractions, status quo, and issues are the rock that we must continue constant pressure against or it will push us further down the mountain,” explains Rick. Rick follows his mentor John Maxwell-an American author, speaker, and pastor who has written many books, primarily focusing on leadership-closely. “I believe, as John says, my best today becomes my starting point tomorrow. It is a relentless appetite for growth that can become infectious and our clients can see that we have action behind our words.”

Rick has been taking R2 to new heights by adopting a unique take on Agile and Waterfall methodologies that are meeting the clients where they are. R2 understands that no person or organization is the same and meeting the client where they are and understanding where they want to go is an individualized experience that is unique to R2 and Rick's offering. In an instance, the company has worked with a Clinical Research Outsourcing organization who needed a better way to see employee availability. Their clients needed to hear a commitment from them that they had the resources available prior to assigning business. R2 noticed that the client had based their assumption on creating project schedules versus understanding resource allocation and demand. R2 changed the way the client saw the data, and implemented the solution within 6 months allowing the client to go to market with predictive analysis before any of their competition.
